The next TRANSPOWER-workshop will be held in
Skopje, capital of FYROM, on June 3-5, 2008. Focusing on Traffic
Management, the event allows for knowledge-sharing on state-of-the-art
solutions as well as for direct exchange on challenges in
implementation of traffic management solutions. Further, case studies
and good/bad practices from member cities will be presented and
discussed in-depth.
GTZ is member of the competence team of TRANSPOWER and focuses on public transport.
The workshop is the fourth meeting of the entire
consortium after a kick-off meeting in Görlitz/Germany, a mid-term
conference in Halandri/Greece and a workshop on non-motorised transport
in Sibiu/Romania.
TRANSPOWER (financed by the European Union (FP6))
supervises the implementation of small, manageable and tailor-made
projects and concepts. Facilitating the exchange of experience and
personnel TRANSPOWER will enable participating institutions to build up
relevant capacities. Pooling 16 partners from six member states and one
aceeding countries representing small and medium-sized cities (up to
500,000 inhabitants), policy makers of municipalities and cities will
be able to exchange know-how with science and business.
